Read MoreThese are strange times but I’m really overwhelmed to hear that my students at Leeds Beckett University have nominated me for 2 of the annual University-wide Golden Robes Awards.
I’m up for Best Lecturer, and Unsung Hero.
I have great pride in announcing that, alongside two fabulous, award-winning poets, Laura Potts and Charlotte Wetton, I’ll be taking over the running of one of the country’s longest running monthly poetry events.
Read MoreI concluded a series of performances raising money and awareness for Mental Health Charities. The series began with an event in aid of BEAT UK, the UK’s leading eating disorder charity, and concluded in December in York with an event organised by Time to Change, York, a campaign to end mental health stigma and discrimination for residents and visitors to the city.
Such a wonderful experience to meet so many over the course of these events that have struggled with or know others who’ve struggled with a broad range of issues. Ending the stigma is massively important and I’m humbled to have been able to be part of these events.
Delighted to be performing in York at the Basement Bar for a great cause.Wendy Pratt, Matt Nicholson, Rose Drew, Oz Hardwick, and I will be performing in support of Time to Change York.
